All towers confirmed. Abingdon has a one way traffic system and gets very congested. As the Christmas shopping season will be in full swing by then the centre is best avoided. My suggestion is to head east from Drayton to Sutton Courtenay and Culham and then head north for Abingdon along the A415. Immediately before you get to Abingdon there are two public car parks on either side of the road - Rye Farm and Hales Meadow. If you reach the river then turn around because you've gone too far ! Both car parks are £3 for 4 - 6 hours, and the Abingdon towers and the lunchtime pub are all easily walkable from there. The pub is on Bridge Street which is the same road as the car parks. For an aerial photo click this link. For directions and maps to the two Abingdon towers see the Abingdon bells website. Cowley - The suggested parking is either in the Church Centre car park on Beauchamp Lane, or at the top of Church Hill Road (there is a pathway through to the churchyard at the brow of the hill). |
